A high wall divides the stage into two parts. On the right side a woman, on the left a man. Video projections on the backside of each half. The two cannot see each other, but from time to time videos show, between film clips, what is happening on the other side. In „Wall dancin‘ – Wall fuckin‘“Alain Buffard and Régine Chopinot are individuals parted from each other. Two figures who, despite the obstacle, the barrier, remain connected. Intense visions of each other and strong mutual identification create many a similarity on both sides of the insurmountable wall. This wall is like the human skin, our shared frontier. Although we can never overcome these limits physically, social conduct will nonetheless enable us to form strong, at times even inseparable relationships. „Fuck that wall, we dance together …“
