An amazing travel through time to Paris during the interwar years. Deeply impressed by Isadora Duncan’s aesthetics, François Malkovsky, who has almost faded into oblivion, created his “free dances” there.
Cecilia Bengolea and François Chaignaud discovered Malkovsky’s repertoire through Suzanne Bodak who followed François Malkovsky’s teaching for many years. Together, they recreate these solos, duets and trios together, translating them in simple yet effective adaptations to the contemporary stage.
They liberate their bodies, colouring themselves red, green and black. They thus surrender to the magic of these pieces that are inspired by ideas of love of nature and aesthetic liberation: “The Sea”, “Youth” and “Morning Song”
