Dogheart When a dancer like Jonathan Burrows and a performer like Chrysa Parkinson get together this may lead to the development of rather unusual stories. Burrows, who has undergone a change from being a celebrated London ballet dancer to becoming a contemporary artist keen to experiment, and New York-based Parkinson, who has worked with both Deborah Hay and Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, have devoted themselves to the rhythms of a dog’s heart. The result is a choreographed poem with animated images, dance and language, in which a story is recounted whose content only reveals itself by putting together the many details that are being sent on stage by the two of them to dance.
