PROGRAMME
Four guests gather around a lavishly set table to indulge in the piled-up delicacies. Cameras become witnesses to this vegetarian feast. In breathtaking close-ups, a large screen reveals what the penetrating eyes of the lecherous medium pick up, whose lenses can even see in the dark, making the faces of the gourmands appear ghostly green. The meal escalates into a lascivious orgy. Overripe fruits burst, oozing fermenting juice. As if intoxicated, the bodies roll around in this slightly rotten garden of earthly delights, which is presented here as an allegory of the vanitas of unnerved indulgence societies. The “supersensory” mix of performance and live film seems to have become even more topical since its premiere twelve years ago.
