This lecture performance is truly one of a kind. One of the most influential choreographers of our time appears live in front of an audience 44 years after her first piece (Asch), providing insights into her extremely complex working methods and revealing many of the secrets behind her global successes: from Fase and Rosas danst Rosas via Drumming and Rain, Zeitung and Verklärte Nacht through to The Goldberg Variations and Il Cimento dell’Armonia e dell’Inventione, which is shown at ImPulsTanz this year. In the recently produced film Vocabularium, the dancing couple Cynthia Loemij and Boštjan Antončič present more than 90 excerpts in the respective original costumes from more than 60 works that Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker has created with her compagnie Rosas over the past 40 years.
