Whether image, sound or sacred music – the Canadian artist Félix-Antoine Morin is guided in his work by the aesthetic principle of poetic translation and plays with reality by shifting it into fiction and abstraction. In the exhibition Asemic Sound Mappings, graphic scores from his compositional repertoire represent musical forms. And although their musicality inevitably resonates in our minds, these are not meant to be decoded and interpreted, but to unfold into pure visual symbolism.
