The little leader steps on a podium. Now he’s towering over everyone. “You will be my army!”, he shouts and looks down with wide-open eyes at the audience and his four dancers. In this game configuration, it is up to each and every one to decide whether and how they want to be manipulated. Things got started earlier with rather harmless participatory activities. Overcoming inhibitions, loosening up, rolling and immersing oneself in “nothingness”. Incidentally, you could give this “nothingness” a peck and – why not? – take it home. Belgian star choreographer Wim Vandekeybus organises a “collective happening” that breaks down the boundaries between the audience and the performers. Perhaps it’s a cabaret of questions to which there are no answers, but it could also be a house of mirrors of reality.
