ghostdance

Hauntology says Mark Fisher does not simply mean a “nostalgia for lost futures”. Not a longing for the past, but a search for the futures that we may not even remember. Perhaps ghostdance is just that: a kind of independent, sometimes danceable, mostly audible séance of the twentieth century. An ongoing, never-ending contemplation, a late-night conversation about what will have been, about utopias, turntables and synthesizers with the ghosts of the twentieth century. (Spechtl/Köck)
