A mythic bird – the magpie – and the superstitious beliefs winding around it, create the frame for the new work by Wim Vandekeybus. The magpie symbolizes good and evil, truth and charlatanism, reality and nightmare, it is linked with mysterious rites, fantastic customs and thundering dances. Wim Vandekeybus – choreographer, dancer, actor cineaste and photographer – shatters all kinds of conventions with his creativity.
