Have you ever been up close and personal with this extravagantly ingenious multidisciplinary artist? With a unique stage presence, an enthralling voice and a roguish penchant for contact and confrontation, Ivo Dimchev has presented a great many of his works at ImPulsTanz, including masterpieces such as his festival debut Lili Handel (2007), followed by I-Cure, The Selfie-Concert, Begeraz Top 40 and METCH. With this lecture, the Bulgarian performer pays homage to the changing roles of his audience. He examines them e.g. as performers or dramaturgs, as customers, choir members or patients. Anyone who has been lucky enough to be acquainted with the clever provocateur’s work can probably guess that the result will be far from a sedate lecture but instead an adventurous experience that will allow everybody present to play along to their heart’s content.
