What would dancing in a club be without lights? Born in the United States and currently based in London, the choreographer, performer and visual artist Christopher Matthews celebrates Club Culture and shakes up institutional spaces with this installation. A group of rotating disco lights transforms Raum D at MuseumsQuartier into a pulsating field of dreams about amazing nights of dancing. Matthews is this year’s ATLAS mentor at the festival. Having danced with Trajal Harrell and performed in Jon M. Chu’s film Wicked, among other things, he is rooted in Queer Culture and explores the correlations between audience roles, pop and contemporaneity.

Vernissage on 21.07., 19:30

Free admission
