PROGRAMME
SERVICE
Sensuality and sensitivity go together like life and love. Five people give the audience a sense of this as they take them on a trip to the experiential worlds of mutual closeness. To the sounds of American singer and composer of contemporary classical music Caroline Shaw and lyrical poet Kristin Hayter, better known by her pen name Lingua Ignota, the dancers of the Salzburg based BODHI PROJECT engage in sometimes wild but always mindful relationships with Belgian choreographer Michiel Vandevelde. Referencing Michelangelo’s fresco The Creation of Adam, historical social dances and contact improvisation, among other things, they demonstrate the importance of touch in gaining an emotional understanding of life.
