“When we’re out of words, the body takes over.” The film is inspired by the performance Nicht Schlafen from 2016. Among other things, it questions why there is so much senseless and random violence in the world which led to heated internal discussions. The film combines found footage and visual material from all over the world with the vision of three dancers – based on personal experiences, Bérengère Bodin, Samir M’Kirech and TK Russell look for the why of violence around them, but also of the violence inside them. Is it at all possible to act in a non-violent way? Or is that privilege reserved for those who create dance, music, art or words and poetry?
