The machinery of various dance techniques „contaminated“ him, says Sergiu Matis after working for instance with Nürnberg Ballett or Sasha Waltz Company. In his visionary piece he and the equally brillant Maria Walser and Luis Rodrigues transform into dancing cyborgs – and no commanding matrix can any longer tell them what to do! Disorientation liberates them and enables their virtuoso movements to phantastically unfold. They rapturously give themselves up to the forms burned into their bodies while at the end they joyfully triumph when this machine called dance snowballs them – and us.

For 14 years already, the [8:tension] Young Choreographers’ Series has presented new generations of choreographers of the international dance and performance scene. 2015 the series comprises 11 productions, which are all also nominated for the Casinos Austria Prix Jardin d'Europe, endowed with Euro 10,000.
