Chris Aiken, involved in the research of improvisation and performance art for 25 years- with a background in dance theater, contact improvisation, compositional improvisation, Alexander technique, Yoga, release technique and athletic training. Chris has performed and collaborated with renowned dance artists including Steve Paxton, Kirstie Simson, Nancy Stark Smith, Peter Bingham and Andrew Harwood and musicians such as Bobby McFerrin and Philip Hamilton. He has received numerous awards and fellowships for his work and is Assistant Professor at Ursinus College near Philadelphia.
