Palle Dyrvall (BE)

BIOGRAPHY

After his education in the Swedish Ballet School Palle Dyrvall worked for three years with the choreographer Efva Lija in Stockholm whose post-modern dance company focused on site-specific projects in museums, in nature, in the city, on vertical walls, under water etc. In his own work Palle relied on improvisation as a means of researching and finding material, an interest that led him to Belgium and to the work of Hans van den Broeck/Les Ballets C de la B. in 1996. He performed in van den Broeck’s projects “EAT, EAT, EAT” and “La Sortie”. Combining the work as a dancer/performer with the directing of his own projects he was given the possibility to be artist-in-residence at Movement Research in New York 1998. Palle Dyrvall has also appeared in “David Zambrano invites” and performed in the work of Jan Fabre in 2002.
