Anna Josefine Holzer is a freelance artist, qualified art therapist, and educator in both music and dance. She trained at the Orff Institute of the Mozarteum University Salzburg, specialising in contemporary dance (BA), choreography, and community work (MA).
For many years, her artistic and educational work has focused on inclusive, participatory, and intergenerational community engagement through dance and music. She works with children, young people, and adults of all ages. In her directing and choreographic projects – such as Panorama (2016), Pan Aanem (2018), Pandora 1 and 2 (2021), Vita (2023), Ahne Mich (2023/24), TransForMotion (2024), and Wenn der Wald geht (2025) – she is particularly interested in the interaction between generations and the playful exploration of performers as individuals and as a group.
In addition to her work as a choreographer and director, she has gained stage and ensemble experience in interdisciplinary companies, theatre groups, and bands. Her performances as a dancer, actress, and singer have taken her to a wide range of venues – from traditional festivals and pubs to living rooms, major museums, and international stages across Austria, Germany, Albania, Greece, and France. She currently also works as a freelance collaborator for Tanz die Toleranz and the Vienna State Opera.
