BIOGRAPHY

Unita Gay Galiluyo was born in Pasay, Philippines. From 1991 until 1998, she was a soloist member of the National Company Ballet Philippines. 1999 she decided to pursue her career in Europe as a dancer, teacher, and choreographer, working with meaningful European city theatres, dance companies, and independent dance collectives. She is the winner of the First Prize of Solo Tanz Festival Stuttgart 2005, further prizes: Tokyo International Choreography Competition, Mas Danza International Solo Dance Competition. Unita is a member of Andrea K. Schlehwein + NETZWERK AKS since 2009. She specialises in Ballet, Neoclassic, Modern, Jazz and Contemporary.

The label Andrea K. Schlehwein + NETZWERK AKS is a mobile collective of internationally acknowledged artists from around the globe – all of whom lead a nomadic lifestyle as they explore, deepen, and develop their unique craft(s) and realise creative visions within the broad field of contemporary art. The collective under the artistic direction of Andrea K. Schlehwein provides an open meeting point for members to engage in dialogue concerning artistic needs and philosophies, cultural exchange across borders, and collaborative investigation of current political issues and the arts – including the human condition, emotion and cultural expression. While Andrea K. Schlehwein + NETZWERK AKS currently works in ART SPACE stift millstatt . Carinthia its members may come together anywhere in the world to research, discuss, rehearse and perform their productions. Andrea K.
