Emma Waltraud Howes is a Berlin-based visual artist, dancer and choreographer originally from Toronto, Canada. Oscillating between movement and form, her time-based performance installations incorporate soft sculpture, voice, and improvisation with fallible objects. Buttressed by graphic systems for concentrated encounters, or “serious play,” this process embraces embodied experience toward the creation of “Cadavre Exquis” – chimeras that foster alternative perspectives.
