BIOGRAPHY

Oneka von Schrader (she/her) works as a choreographer, performer, singer, and artistic advisor. She has collaborated with artists such as Veza Fernandez, Tino Sehgal, Jija Sohn, Kroot Juurak, and Oleg Soulimenko. Her own work has been presented at festivals including Bâtard Festival (Brussels), Les Urbaines (Lausanne), and [8:tension]/ImPulsTanz (Vienna).

She was awarded a danceWEB scholarship in 2013 and, more recently, was part of the PARASOL dance company at Tanzquartier Vienna in 2023. Currently, she is touring as a performer in Gosia Wdowik’s piece She was a friend of someone else, produced by CAMPO.

Together with her sister Daphne von Schrader, she forms the duo Schrader & Schrader, creating and performing experimental concerts.

In her studio at the Semmelweisklinik Arts & Culture Centre, she is engaged in artistic research on the intersections of art, illness, anatomy, and feminism – explored through the lens of conceptual somatics and dream work.

She studied choreography at the SNDO in Amsterdam and Shiatsu in Vienna.
