BIOGRAPHY

Jen Rosenblit (born in 1983, USA) creates performances in Berlin after many years in New York City, exploring architectures, bodies, text, and ideas that engage with the challenges that arise inside the agendas of togetherness. Jen’s works lean towards the uncanny, finding ways of being together amidst (un)familiar and seemingly impossible contradictions. Desire and sexuality recur as points of departure without prescribing a singular aesthetic or representation.

Jen is a 2018 Guggenheim Fellow, a recipient of a 2014 New York Dance and Performance “Bessie” Award, a 2023 La Becque (Vevey, Switzerland) artist in residence and has collaborated with artists including Simone Aughterlony, Miguel Gutierrez, A.K.Burns and Philipp Gehmacher.
