BIOGRAPHY

Eszter Gál is a highly experienced dancer, teacher, RSME, and researcher, with a career spanning several decades. She holds certification in the Skinner Releasing Technique at both Introductory and Ongoing levels, and has dedicated over 30 years to teaching a wide range of practices, including somatic work, Contact Improvisation, composition, and improvisation. Throughout her career, her core interests have consistently centred around somatic-based movement research, the exploration of improvisational performance, and fostering community engagement within dance education.

As part of her doctoral studies, Eszter has undertaken extensive research on the legacy and influence of Contact Improvisation in Hungary, further contributing to the understanding and development of the field.
