Marta Navaridas (*San Sebastián, Basque Country) started training Classical Ballet and Shotokan Karate at the age of 4. She holds a Master’s Degree in Translation and Interpreting at the UPF Barcelona and a Bachelor in Choreography at AHK Arnhem in Holland. She also guest-studied and trained at the Mime Department of HKA Amsterdam. Since 2008 she has been creating text-based choreographies together with Alex Deutinger. Selected works: Hausgeist, Octopus, Your Majesties, Queen of Hearts, Pontifex, I Would Like to Be a Better Person. Since 2015 she also produces own performative works such as The Battle (2015), I Swear (2017), Onírica (2019), Stomach (2021). She was apap – network artist 2016-2020, Swedish Dancenet Artist 2014, Aerowaves Priority Artist 2013 and won the BestOFF-Styria Prize 2010 for her choreography Your Majesties. She taught workshops at Tanzquartier Studios Vienna, Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität Linz, K3-Zentrum für Choreografie Hamburg, Duncan Dance Research Center Athens, Tanzebene Graz and Danza Común Bogotá. She lives in Graz.
