Alex Deutinger studied at Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität in Linz. As a performer he collaborated with numerous international choreographers and performers. He developed several choreographic works together with Marta Navaridas, a. o. the prize-winning performances Look at them now! and Your Majesties which have been presented in Austria and other European countries. In 2009, Alex Deutinger founded with Alexander Gottfarb, Marta Navaridas and Anna Maria Nowak the collective The Loose Collective out of the desire to create dance and concert performances in a non-hierarchical structure parallel to their individual artistic projects. For their production Here Comes The Crook they have teamed up with the Irish performer Michael Dolan as well as two members of the Viennese band 78plus, who are also performing live on stage.
