Ori Flomin (US/IL)Ori Flomin has been creating and presenting his choreography extensively in New York, Europe and Asia. He recently collaborated with Swedish choreographer Helena Franzen on their Duet "Meeting you", which has been presented in Sweden, Germany and New York.
He teaches dance and yoga as a guest artist for several companies and schools around the world such as P.A.R.T.S. (Brussels), Sasha Waltz & guests (Berlin), The Place (London), Cullberg Ballet (Stockholm), SEAD (Salzburg), Tanzwerkstatt Europa Festival (Munich), Circuit-Est (Montreal) and many others. He is an Adjunct Faculty at NYU Tisch School of the Arts in New York City and was a guest faculty at SUNY Purchase, Rutgers College, Barnard College, The New School, Movement Research and Gibney Dance.
He was a member of the Stephen Petronio Dance Company from 1991-1999 as well as the assistant to the Artistic director from 2005-2009. He also had the pleasure to dance with Neil Greenberg, Helena Franzen, Maria Hassabi, Kevin Wynn and Michael Clark.
Ori is also a certified Shiatsu practitioner and maintains an active practice in NYC.
In his teaching Ori is known to approach his class as a dialogue with the dancers and include the use of imagery and humour to allow the dancers to have a personal connection to the given material and find their own voice through their experience in class.
