Contemporary Pole

Wanna go upside down? Wanna dance?

Pole dance is one of the trendiest sports in recent years and is suitable for every fitness level and body type. The combination of dance and workout is a unique way to improve posture and fitness.

The use of bodyweight and different dynamics for spins, different grips, pressure points for poses, getting upside down, as well as the different Pole dance styles such as AcroPole (with partners), Showgirl-Moves and Contemporary Pole will be explored. The focus is on spins, climbs, floor work combined with contemporary dance technique. We use the pole as a prop to expand our movement repertory and to redefine our own movement vocabulary.

Acrobatics play an important role, but the focus is always on dancing. Combinations to music enrich the training at the pole. Pole dance makes you all of this: strong, sexy, feminine, cool, elegant and is challenging.

This class is open to dancers beginning Pole dance and is still a challenge for intermediate Pole dancers who want to dig deeper into the art of movement and understand the foundations of body alignment and expression. Either previous experience in dance or in Pole dance is required.
