Toprock describes the movements of a breaker performed in a standing position. This part of the dance has two main principles:
On the one hand the determination of space as well as the assignment and maintaining of the dance-area’s boundaries and on the other hand the meditative preparation for the following Downrock.
The three steps Outlaw, Indian and Cross-step form the basis and are used as fundamental vocabulary. They allow us to work on more abstract movements. Occasionally the training will be determined by playing with balance and space in order to work on dynamics of expression and also to improve an organic way of moving. Not to lose sight of one thing: Toprock usually ends with a Downrock.
