Daniel Aschwanden (AT/CH)
Over a whole year long, Choreographer, performer and urban researcher Aschwanden danced his daily dance in the city of Vienna to the music of Bach. Now he does it one more time, in a place, where nothing ever gets lost: the second hand market of Viennas waste management. Goldberg 356 was created as homage to the “real-time” choreographer and performer Steve Paxton, who introduced improvisation as an art form to the theatre stage, dancing to the Goldberg-Variations. Aschwanden leaves the theatre and takes the variations with him to the streets, including a portable space-marker by stage designer Stephanie Rauch.
