Some people can't even think of themselves dying miserably without style... Anyway, she is 62 now and still thriving. More later.
Someone who also never lacks of style despite of her dedication to experiment and innovation, is not only presenting her newest creation at ImPulsTanz09 as of today and presenting her cinematic collaboration with Peter Greenaway from 1992 within the festival's movie line Dancing Pictures, but she is also giving interested dance artists the rare opportunity to be in class with her. If contemporary dance is your (upcoming) favourite dish, you might dig the still growing possibilities for feeding this hunger also post-festival: Meanwhile, Christine Gaigg & 2nd nature, Colette Sadler, Sebastian Prantl/Tanzatelier Wien, Condance, Arsenale della Danza/Biennale di Venezia and Institute for Dance Arts are offering auditions within ImPulsTanz09. There's more here:
"Mohammed personally mapped out seven heavens. If he got to seven, you know there's more."
Patti Smith, obviously a valuable human being to turn to for all kinds of questions in life, is currently on tour in Europe, stopping in Wels, Austria of all places this Saturday. Maybe she'll be wise, certainly she will be precious serious loud fun. And she will be supported there by electronic band Lampe, who will share their sound (and maybe also some Pattigossip) with us at the ImPulsTanz festival lounge the day after.
"Do you like the world around you? Then change it." (Patti Smith)
