Yoga - The Art of Humility
a.k.a You Don't Have to be an Asshole to be an Artist!

Amanitvam is a sanskrit word with a negative prefix whose definition is absence of an exaggerated sense of self. It is considered a value, that which is worth your observance. The human psyche is full of complexes and the artist archetype, if not compassionately integrated, can lead to a kind of "monstrous narcissism." This course will focus on using devotional practices and the cognitive values expressed in chapter 13 of the Bhagavad Gita to help create empathetic awareness. Using hermetic poses, forward bends, to curl the psyche towards the self, we will lay our internal pressures or our beast of burdens down through the Yogic art of active humility.

Yoga - What's it all About?
one of the most powerful practices on the planet

Yoga for beginners will explore the different facets of Hatha Yoga including postures, breath, devotion, meditation, ethics and liberation theories. Students will participate in a step by step, eclectic exploration of yoga, observing the benefits it has to offer in terms of personal awareness, acceptance and self appreciation. This workshop is intended to introduce students to the cultural context of yoga, giving an embodied experience of 'What it's all About' and why as a spiritual practice, yoga is so meaningful for 21 century survival in the West.

P.S. If you've been put off by the yoga hype, cult, or general yoga weirdness, this invitation is yours! Don't miss out on a great opportunity to participate in one of the most powerful practices on the planet with a no nonsense teacher who is guaranteed to ignite your passion for all things mystical and glorious!
