West Coast Craze
style and graze of the latest moves
"West Coast Craze is a fun, intense and high energy hip hop class for b-girls and b-boys. With ease you will master the style and graze of the latest moves that are just now spreading over the MTV screens! I will provide an elementary approach to a fascinating urban style of movement. You will learn and retain unique choreography while listening to the latest sounds of hip hop music done by U.S. hip hop radio DJs.“
Vanessa AndradaVanessa Andrada, Owner, Founder and Executive Director of Urban FX, has become well known nationally and internationally for her versatile and energetic performances and unique choreography. Vanessa began her professional dance career over ten years ago in San Diego as a collegiate cheerleader. She then became a principal dancer and head director of the world renowned dance company, Culture Shock Dance Troupe, where she continued until 2000.
Vanessa has traveled as an international presenter and dancer in Moscow, Vienna, Zurich, and in such U. S. cities as San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Charlotte, Indianapolis, Springfield, Phoenix, San Jose, and Atlanta since 1994. She has promoted, performed and instructed for well known companies such as Nike, Reebok, Idea, Fit X, and E.C.A. Fitness Conventions. She was featured in the first series of the aerobic program Crunch Fitness. She has assisted in the presentation of the promotional video, The Cultural Shock Hip-Hop Workout , which was rate the #1 workout video in Japan and was also featured in Shape Magazine. Vanessa has worked with professional athletic dance teams of the San Diego Gulls Girls and the San Diego Soccetts. In 1999, Vanessa began presenting as an instructor for the Internationale Tanzwochen Wien. She still currently instructs at these international events, which are continuously sold out.
Vanessa has been featured in many television programs such as, Nickelodeon's All That , WB s Vibe, MTV s The Grind and Lip Service, and the highly rated show, The Keenan Ivory Wayan s Show. She has also performed on one of the longest running television shows, Soul Train, as a back-up dancer. She has toured with IMX (Formerly known as Immature). She has been featured in various commercial music videos with Rome, MC Smooth, and Angela Via.
Vanessa is also committed to working within her community and to bringing awareness to many of today's social issues. She is currently being featured in a HIV Prevention Campaign commercial, Circle of Women. She also works with children to help them learn the basic foundations of dance, while promoting and encouraging a healthy lifestyle. She has worked with children as young as four years of age. Internationally, Vanessa has continued her work with children, instructing a Hip Hop Conference for teens ages thirteen to seventeen.
Vanessa Andrada continues to pursue her love and passion for dance through her continued dedication and practice in the field.
Vanessa Andrada choreographed for some of today‘s hottest music videos and clips. Her classes are appreciated at festivals in Europe and the U.S.A.
