Spiele mit Schwerkraft. Ergreife und berühre. Sei saftig und explosiv. Training in Partnering fokussiert auf das gesamte Spektrum von Improvisation und Komposition - von elementar bis virtuos, abstrakt bis dramatisch und experimental bis expressiv. Wir werden uns dem Partnering aus vier Richtungen nähern:

1) Energie- und Körperarbeit für Effizienz, Empfindungs- und Artikulationsfähigkeit.
2) Kontaktimprovisation zur Entwicklung von instinktiven Reflexen und Vorstellungsvermögen mittels Gewicht und Komposition.
3) Techniken für Leichtigkeit, Wirkung, Gestaltung und Phrasierung für Kraft, Präzision und Kommunikation.
4) Repertoire-Training und kreatives Researching mit Bühnenbildmaterial und strukturierten Situationen für deine ganz persönlichen Entdeckungen.

Advanced Partnering
Teilnehmer müssen mindestens 5 Jahre Erfahrung im Partnering und/oder
Kontaktimprovisation haben. Open Partnering: Die TeilnehmerInnen müssen
offen und bereit sein für Berührung, Gewicht, Erde, Luft - und alles was
dazwischen ist.


Kathleen Hermesdorf
Kathleen Hermesdorf ist Tanzschaffende, Performerin, Improvisationskünstlerin, Dozentin und Organisatorin und lebt seit 1991 in San Francisco. Sie war Mitglied der Bebe Miller Company (2006 BESSIE), der Margaret Jenkins Dance Company (1999 IZZIE) & Contraband/Sara Shelton Mann, und arbeitete mit Scott Wells für Hermesdorf & Wells Dance Company (1994 GOLDIE). Mit Stephanie Maher verband sie eine enge Zusammenarbeit. Sie gewann Preise und Ehrungen und erhielt einen BFA und einen MFA für Tanz, Performance und Pädagogik. Sie leitet mit dem Musiker Albert Mathias die ALTERNATIVA, eine Plattform für musikalische und tänzerische Zusammenarbeit, Kreation, Improvisation und Austausch. Die Arbeit mündet in Performance, Produktionen, fungiert als Komission und Programmgestaltung und hält zurzeit Residenz bei KUNST-STOFF Arts und assoziiert mit dem ODC Theater und dessen Schule in San Francisco.

Stephanie Maher
Stephanie Maher is known for her breathtaking physicality and for creating works that express an unique blend of intimacy, sensitivity, and wild humor. Her work has been performed on stages across the US, Germany, Holland and the UK. After training in New York, she spent 10 years in San Francisco, working from 1989-1993 as a dancer/choreographic collaborator with the Margaret Jenkins Dance Company. In 1995 she co-founded CORE with Keith Hennessy, Jess Curtis Stanya Kahn and Jules Beckman, and was a regular at 848 Community Space, often collaborating with San Francisco dancer/ choreographer Kathleen Hermesdorf. In 1998 she relocated to Berlin where she continues to perform, organize, and teach in K77 Studios and the Ponderosa in Stolzenhagen, Germany, both of which she helped build and develop.
Kathleen Hermesdorf and Stephanie Maher met in San Francisco via Contact Improvisation in 1992. They were choreographic collaborators and performers in the Margaret Jenkins Dance Company and together as Collusion from 1993-1997 and have been teaching and making work in and around Berlin and San Francisco since 2000 at K77, Tanz Fabrik, Potsdam International TanzTage Festival and Intercontinental Collaborations, presented by Jess Curtis/Gravity Productions. Most recently, they performed in the San Francisco International Arts Festival 2005 and were featured at the 2006 Ponderosa Tanz/Land Festival in Stolzenhagen, Germany.
