Contemporary Technique

This workshop is directed to people interested in dance as an art of expression.
The class will turn around one or two themes per day including warm up, floorwork and dance evolutions in the space. From high voltage to lazy-looking forms where energy & imaginary are the rulers of the rhythm. The participant is encouraged to appropriate the given material & to 'stage' it in the shortest delay of time.
How do we learn to learn? Bring sneakers.

Partnering
partizipating & communicating in physical dialogues

Sharing & communication are very essential aspects in our daily life. Dance tries as well to express those issues through partner work & other forms.
Physical dialogues is the purpose we are going to search in this class Different exercises will open up instinct & awareness in dealing with each other. Duo & other complex group forms will be dealt during the class in either improvised or fix patterns.
Weight, feelings for timing, leaders & followers, trust, will become our daily technique terms.

Ultima Vez Repertory

Iñaki Azpillaga is offering a parcour through Ultima Vez company’s choreographical history by dealing with repertory fragments of Wim Vandekeybus’ work. This is a workshop to experience the rhythm of this dance company from its raw physical early pieces until the now performing “Blush” that was presented at ImPulsTanz 2003 + 2004.
He approaches a selection of fragments the way they were conceived and then performed designed as an overview of their creative aspects with information from a performing point of view – an extraordinary opportunity to taste the energy of the company Ultima Vez.
