The body as an orphan left behind, the end of the quest for harmony and consensus and the fragmentation of the body – Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten entwine these dramatic meatphors in their newest group piece „Rimasto Orfano“. Six dancers are breaking away from the norms of synchronicity, are rendering themselves and the uniqueness of their individual actions to the performance. The stage – its colour a soft grey, at times warm, at times icy – is flooded by the music of Michael Gordon and Wim Selles, which surrounds the dancers with irritating intensity. A superb choreography disclosing the body’s exposure as the main issue in all human life.
