"Le Salon"

“Peeping Tom” is back. The Belgian collective that has continuously been well-received throughout all of Europe with their piece “Le Jardin” is now on tour with a new piece: “La Salon.” Again, a treat in store for the audience will be the magnificent actor of the Needcompany Simon Versnel, performers Gabriela Carrizo and Franck Chartier. “Le Salon” tells the story of a once well-situated older gentleman who is driven to ruin by his passion for jewels and by the relentless change of the times. He pulls his family down with him as he crashes and burns. The moving scenes of drama and dance take place in a run-down salon. The voice of mezzo soprano Euridike de Beul adds to the the ambiance of a theatrical experience that goes straight to the heart, interspersed with witty humor.
