"Jetzt bist du dran"

Austrian choreographer Georg Blaschke has engaged himself with the solo piece “Mensch im Wahn” (Madman) by Austrian expressive dancer Andrei Jerschik. It was created in 1929, passed on to dancer Harmen Tromp in 1994 and is now performed under Blaschke by Petr Ochvat. Tromp’s memories of the working process and Jerschik’s notes, which are both moving and vigorous at the same time, play a central part in the piece. Thus a cleverly staged game has been created that is situated between reconstruction and documentation and between historicity and the present.
