Mark Tompkins invites you to the danceWEBspace for a series of four informal encounters with some of the artists performing and/or teaching in the Festival ImpulsTanz.

tradeMARK takes place every Tuesday, from 18h30 until 20h, after the workshops and before the performances, and proposes a format where several artists meet to address, play with and discuss the question(s) of composition and (re)presentation.

Each encounter will take place in three parts :
1) eXpress - 30' - a time to eXperiment, eXplore and eXperience.
2) shopTALK - 30' - a conversation about what we do and how and why we do it.
3) Q&A - Questions and Answers - 30' - opening the discussion to the public.

Each encounter is centered around a specific topic.

July 20: « musicANDdance » with erikM, Mathilde Monnier, Nuno Rebelo, Christian Rizzo
July 27: « IDentities » with Alain Buffard, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Damien Jalet, David Zambrano
August 3: « wATchingandwrITing » with Isabelle Ginot, Benoit Lachambre, Helmut Ploebst, Frans Poelstra, Robert Steijn

tradeMARK is a tentative to create a space which focuses on the desires, thoughts, motivations, and mechanisms of making performance. It is not a teaching nor a finished performance, but an encounter and a privileged moment of sharing.
