"hopefully someone will carry out great vengeance on me"

In his work Hooman Sharifi, Norwegian choreographer with Irani roots, combines both performance and political activity. For the research work on "hopefully someone will carry out great vengeance on me" the impure Company spent several months staying in Kosovo, Beirut and Tallinn, among other places. Sharif’s work proposes a new radicality, a connection between the individual, the private, and the political reality we all live in. In this production the loneliness of Tallinn, the brutality of Kosovo, the fight for survival in Beirut are all perceptible. A performance about being lonely, being exhausted, being in doubt, but also about going on and about living on.
