Rachid Ouramdane took Roland Petit’s ballet "Death And The Young Man" as a starting point for his journey through the parallel universes of cyberspace: Search engines were fed with the terms "young man" and "death"; based on the results the young French choreographer created a meticulously composed iconography of death which, at the same time, does also render a quest for identity. Uncompromisingly he transfers issues like suicide attacks by young muslims and euthanasia for the terminally ill into a solo piece that utilizes multimedia in the most astonishing way.
