"Almost Dark"

The thrilling experiment of a deconstruction. The psychological aspects of a family tragedy are being analyzed and then choreographed as physical battle between five individuals. How can offending words be translated into movement and rhythm? Or, as Hans van den Broeck puts it: "How can I render the instinct of looking away, the desperate attempt to escape from reality?"
The Belgian Hans van den Broeck studied first psychology, then film, before he became a co-founder of Les Ballets C. de La B. He collaborated with Alain Platel, and in summer 2002 he founded his own company with the programmatic name SOIT (stay only if temporary).
