"Seikes"

Uncontrollable states of consciousness and hidden desires manifest themselves in Elio Gervasi’s “Seikes” in disconcerting shapes and forms. Triggered by a deep aversion against being touched, the characters shut themselves off from irritations and eerie forms of harassment. Italian-born Gervasi, who lives in Vienna, is both classically trained and at home with contemporary dance. He is known for his lively choreographies with extraordinary dancers – sheer “intelligences of movement and detectors of space structures”, as critic Helmut Ploebst put it.
