"Weak Dance Strong Questions“

How does a "weak dance" become a "strong play"? The answer to this question is provided by an unlike couple: Jonathan Burrows, ex-soloist of the Royal Ballet London, and Jan Ritsema, the dancing theatre manager from the Netherlands.
If these two artists create a piece and call it "Weak Dance Strong Question", there is more than a tang of irony to it. What their performance will render, is not so much acrobatic achievement, but detailed improvisation, structured by interruptions and withdrawals, and a joint effort to master the stage, all this carried out by two antipodes who could not be more congenial.
