"Mpirahalahy Mianala"

A man hanging head first from a wooden rack, holding a woman in his arms. The rack is bed as well as door or bus or raft.Travellers take the bus for a trip to the unknown, and on the raft they rest – surrounded by a world loaded with conflicts. In "Mpirahalahy Mianala" ("Several form One") Madagascan choreographer Ariry Andriamoratsiresy combines elements of Tai Chi with Indian and African movement material, thus creating a partly calm, partly explosive dance piece full of bizarre and magic moments.
