"Couples of Moments" / "Two Faces" / "Birth-Day"

It's all about taking leave...The famous Netherlands Dans Theater III founded by Jirí Kylián in 1991 for exceptional dancers over the age of 40 has been one of the ideals in the world of dance since then. Now the guest performance at ImPulsTanz is the last encounter with Austria for the NDT III: the company will be disbanded at the end of this season. Once again the dancers Sabine Kupferberg, Gioconda Barbuto, Gérard Lemaître, Egon Madsen and David Krügel will show three works " Birth-day" by Jirí Kylián, " Couple of Moments" by Johan Inger and " Two Faces" by Hans Van Manen. Using Mozart's music Kylián poses the question as to whether life is in fact just a dress rehearsal for something higher. Manen shows two dancers to Kanchelis' liturgy " Vom Winde beweint" and Inger abducts us into a magical universe that we call love.
