"The material dances us, not us the material."
In „Dissipating I“ Milli Bitterli examines the relationship between movement and emotion. Bitterli: „Does a choreography of the emotions exist? Behind every attitude my body adopts lies an emotion that powers me like an engine. Every movement is linked to a particular feeling, an experience, which in its turn influences the execution of the movement.“

The working process of “Dissipating I” started already a year before the scheduled premiere. Within that year the performers explored in laboratories, researches, workshops and performances the connection between motion and emotion. In this work in process dynamics like cognition, the acceptance of closeness, alienation, demands and liberation came to the fore.
