Christian Lacroix, one of the most important designers in Parisian haute couture has given two interdisciplinary artists a carte blanche for an unusual retrospective of 20 years of creative work:
The installation for the “International Fashion and Photography Festival Hyères 2007”, conceived of by Christian Rizzo together with designer and scenographer David Dubois, stages phantasmagorical worlds in which sirens in high heels outfitted in a bold as well as aesthetically compelling mix of clothes - situated between luxury and prêt-à-porter - draw visitors towards a fascinating Surrealist abyss with their suggestive body language.
Christian Lacroix, whose love of dance has been expressed in countless dance costumes, and Christian Rizzo, the choreographer of the fantastic, find a perfect, creative symbiosis here.
For ImPulsTanz 07 the exhibition was adapted for the sweeping rooms of the Semper Depot.
