III

In “III”, Jenny Beyer, Chris Leuenberger and Anja Müller examine the wish to work collectively on solos. In alternating constellations they create a common world of fine shifts and supposed opposites. Three choreographic handwritings come together in one body at the time, creating an ensemble of daring loners, a kind of corps de ballet of complementary colours.

The three choreographers met in Vienna as danceWEB scholarship participants in 2006. They are members of Sweet & Tender Collaborations. “III” is their first joint work. Jenny Beyer and Chris Leuenberger have collaborated before on “Uniek”, which was presented at the 2009 Springdance Festival. Chris Leuenberger is part of the White Horse Collective, whose piece “Romance” was recently shown in Vienna. Anja Müller’s latest work was “MEMOR I AM” together with Lea Martini. She currently dances in Meg Stuart’s “Do Animals Cry?”.
