"Is You Me"

Change of Programme „Is you me“ / 12. & 14.08., MQ, Halle G – TO LOUISE

Due to a case of death within the family, the today’s performance „IS you me“ at the MuseumsQuartierm Halle G, 9:00 p.m. will be shown in a modified version, as an inprovisation of Benoît Lachambre, Hahn Rowe and Laurent Goldring, but without – yet in her honor – Louise Lecavalier.

„An atypical proposition for an impromptus trio about a intricate yet
simple quartet…

After “I is memory”, this second collaboration between myself and Louise Lecavalier, “Is you me” initially appeared as a duet proposition. Soon after this creative input began, Laurent Goldring and Hahn Rowe joined the project. This consequently became an intricate quartet where choreography, music, dance, drawing and video composition interacted with the objects that this meeting created, enhanced and redefined by costume, scenography and set-up initiatives.

The name “Is you me” appeared as an early title proposal for the work, this odd question quickly became central to the creative reflections in witch we as the protagonists mixed our creative input to also propose deliriums that could be named like: Is you what… Is me that… Is that to… Is two that… Is what me… You to me to you… Is me two to…

For personal, inevitable and highly undesirable circumstances we are brought down to be only three on stage today… change brings us to propose this delirium…
