Partnering
less force!
We will discover and experience partnering work by way of the following basic notions: weight, momentum, release and suspension. The aim is to achieve creating dynamic partnering material with a "less-force" motto. The attention in someone else's body will be seen as an extension of our own and we will look at the similarity that exists between influencing another body and maneuvering our own body.
We will start the class with a short warm-up and then move on to explore some partnering ideas through exercises and improvisation. After that we will learn about set material and repertory, to put the principles discovered in partnering to the test.
