Voice & Move Into Your Space
Opening of space with breath/voice

Which spaces inside and outside the body are moved by my voice? How do certain ways of movement influence my voice while dancing? Does the voice follow the movement? Or does the movement follow the voice? Which movements are opening sound? Which vowels swing in which space? In this workshop I would like to trace these questions.

Opening of space with breath/voice. The resulting body moves are creating our choreography.
The "vocal massage", the sounding of vowels in the 5 most important resonance ranges, will help us to relate "space", "sound" and "move" to each other, in order to deepen the sensual awareness.
The relation between bodytone and tone pitch. Experiencing different voice and movement modulations in relation to tonicity and gravity.
Singing in movement. Rhythm and phrasing. Trust in finding voice through movement.

My workshop is open to all levels. No previous training in singing and movement technique required. It is an introduction into the work of voice and movement, as well as it is dedicated to dancers, who would like to get familiarised with their authentic voice in dance.

Ernestine Halbwidl
I used to love dancing and moving in an acrobatic way. At that time it was my deepest wish to become a dancer. After my parents' early death I decided to go to university and to study Jazz-vocals at the Franz Schubert-Konservatorium in Vienna (1987 - 1992). I additionally took Jazz-Dance lessons and worked on the basics of dance as well as a strechted body.

Further education: e.g. Jazz Avantgarde with Prof. Elfie Aichinger at Hochschule Linz, Integrated Dance Technique for three years with Prof. Johannes Geppert, Improvisation (Cornelia Giese) Breathing Technique with Ilse Mittendorf, Breathing Therapy with Lisa Marlin at Hochschule Wien, overtone singing with Hans Tschirisch.
Dance/ Movement: Jazz Dance, Free Dance, performance, Energetic Indian Dance (Richter method), Five Rythm (Gabriele Roth technique) Reiki, Shamanism, Tantra, Feldenkrais, Belly Dance and Yoga.
